Kevin J. Gillespie is Executive Vice President and head of Middle Market Asset-Based Lending at Wells Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF). With over 20 years of experience in asset-based lending and factoring, Kevin is the lead executive for Middle Market ABL relationships under $35 million, as well as all factoring relationships. In this role, Kevin is also focused on Middle Market credit, operational risk, compliance, and new business development. He joined Wells Fargo in 2010, and is a key member of the WFCF Management Committee.
Most recently, Kevin led the relationship and credit management teams for the Commercial Services Group (CSG) within Capital Finance. CSG provides a broad range of financing and factoring services to the consumer products, staffing, government contracting, and transportation industries.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Kevin was a Senior Vice President at The CIT Group. During his 14 years at CIT, Kevin held numerous positions in account management, underwriting, and business development.
Kevin is a member of The Commercial Finance Association and is active in several credit and trade associations. Kevin is frequently called upon as a speaker, moderator, panelist, and media spokesperson. Most recently, Kevin was a speaker at the New York Institute of Credit, and in the past, he has spoken at the Commercial Finance Association and several apparel/consumer product conferences. Kevin has been quoted in the Financial Times, Women’s Wear Daily, and other industry trade publications.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from The Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.
